Students Create a Community Helpers Comic Strip
Students think of 4 community helpers in their neighborhood and create a one page comic strip using Comic Life. Students use the community helpers worksheet to list their 4 chosen community helpers. Students write one or two sentences telling who each community helper is and how that person helps the community. Students collect images representing their 4 chosen community helpers. Students combine their information and images to create the comic strip. Students save and or print their work. Comic life allows students to export their comic as an image. These images can be added to websites or slideshows for back to school night or open house events.
This lesson integrates technology into the social studies curriculum.
Grade 3 and up.
