Students Create a PowerPoint about the Adaptations of a Porcupine
Students research the internet to find information about where porcupines live and what porcupines eat. Students describe three or more adaptations of porcupines. Students add interesting facts about porcupines. Students add several images of porcupines. Students create an interesting and informative presentation about porcupines using their images and information.
This activity integrates technology into the Life Science curriculum.
Extension: Create a narrated video slide presentation. First save the slides as images. Next, insert the images into a slideshow app (Photostory 3), (iMovie) or online slideshow creator and narrate the slides.
Grades 3 - 5
Slide 1 – Animal Adaptations – Porcupine
Students add a title "Animal Adaptations – Porcupine". Students briefly describe where porcupines live. Students add information about the porcupine's diet. Students add one or more images of a porcupine. Students add their name.

Students add a title "Porcupine Adaptations". Students add information about three or more adaptations of the porcupine. Students add one or more images of a porcupine.

Slide 3 – Interesting Facts about Porcupines
