Students Create a PowerPoint about Bird Homes
Students research the internet to find information about bird homes. Students provide two or more reasons birds need homes. Students describe bird homes and explain how they build or find homes. Students add interesting information about bird homes. Students add several images of bird homes. Students create an interesting and informative PowerPoint presentation using their images and information.
This activity integrates technology into the Life Science curriculum.
Extension: Create a narrated video slide presentation. First save the slides as images. Next, insert the images into a slideshow app (Photostory 3), (iMovie) or online slideshow creator and narrate the slides.
Grade 3
Slide 1 – Animal Homes - Birds
Students add a title "Animal Homes – Birds” Students give two or more reasons birds need homes. Students add one or more images of bird homes. Students add their name.
Slide 2 – Bird Homes
Students add a title "Bird Homes". Students describe a bird home. Students add information about how birds build or find homes. Students add one or more images of bird homes.
