Students Create a PowerPoint About the California Miwok Indians
Students research the internet to find information about the California Miwok Indians, Miwok homes, Miwok food and Miwok clothing. Students find several images related to the Miwok Indians, their homes, foods, and clothing. Students create an interesting and informative PowerPoint presentation using their images and research information.
This activity integrates technology into the History and Social Sciences curriculum.
Grades 3 - 5
Slide 1 – California Miwok Indians
Students add a title “California Miwok Indians”. Students add information or a map about the Miwok Indians geographical location in California. Students add their name.
Slide 2 – Miwok Homes
Students add a title “Miwok Homes”. Students add two or more facts about the type of homes the Miwok Indians lived in. Students add two or more images of traditional Miwok homes.
Slide 3 – Miwok Food
Students add a title “Miwok Food”. Students add two or more facts about the types of foods the Miwok Indians ate. Students add two or more images of types of foods Miwok Indians ate.
Slide 4 – Miwok Clothing
Students add a title “Miwok Clothing”. Students add two or more facts about the types of clothing, shoes or jewelry the Miwok Indians wore. Students add two or more images of the types clothing, shoes or jewelry the Miwok Indians wore.
