Students Create a PowerPoint About Vegetables and the Food Pyramid
Students research the internet for information about the food pyramid and the vegetables they eat, the health benefits of vegetables, and the daily serving recommendations of vegetables. Students find several images of vegetables and the food pyramid. Students use their images and research information to create an interesting and informative PowerPoint presentation.
This activity integrates technology into the Life Sciences curriculum.
Grades 3 -5
Slide 1 – Food Pyramid –Vegetables
Students add a title “Food Pyramid –Vegetables”. Students add an image of the food pyramid or vegetables. Students add their name.

Slide 2 – Vegetables I Eat
Students add a title “Vegetables I Eat”. Students add 4 or more images of vegetables they like to eat. Students add a list of the 4 or more vegetables they like to eat.

Slide 3 – Health Benefits
Students add a title “Vegetables - Health Benefits”. Students list 4 or more health benefits of eating vegetables. Students add 2 or more related images.

Slide 4 – Vegetables – Daily Servings
Students add a title “Vegetables – Daily Servings”. Students add information about the recommended daily serving suggestions for vegetables. Students add one or more related images.
