Students Create a PowerPoint about Oahu
Students research the internet for information about Oahu's geographical features, history, and economy. Students find images related to each topic. Students use their images and research information to create an interesting and informative PowerPoint presentation.
This activity integrates technology into the Hawaiian History - Social Studies curriculum.
Grade 4 and up
Slide 1 – Oahu
Students add a title “Oahu". Students add one or more images of Oahu. Students add their name.
Slide 2 – Oahu's Geographical Features
Students add a title “Geographical Features”. Students add one or more images of interesting land formations in Oahu. Students add interesting facts about the major land regions.
Slide 3 – Oahu's History
Students add a title “History”. Students add one or more images of Oahu's historical past or images of historical landmarks. Students add two or more interesting facts about significant events in Oahu's history.
Slide 4 – Oahu's Economy
Students add a title “Economy”. Students add one or more images related to the economy of Oahu. Students add two or more interesting facts about Oahu economy.
