Students Create a PowerPoint Presentation about Solids, Liquids and Gases
Students research on the internet for information about solids, liquids and gases. Students collect several images of each type of matter. Students create a 4 slide PowerPoint presentation with their research information and images. This research and presentation activity integrates technology with the Physical Science curriculum.
Grade 3 and up.
Extension: Add a slide about "How Matter Changes States". Save slides as images and create a narrated slideshow using MS Photostory or an online slideshow program.
Slide 1 Title Slide - Solids, Liquids, Gases
Students add a title: "Solids, Liquids, Gases" and one image for each type of matter. Students add their name.
Slide 2 - Solids
Students add a title: "Solids" and two images with examples of solids. Students add two interesting facts about solids.
Slide 3 - Liquids
Students add a title: "Liquids" and add two images with examples of liquids. Students add two interesting facts about liquids.
Slide 4 - Gases
Students add a title: "Gases" and add two images with examples of gases. Students add two interesting facts about gases.
