Second Video Editing Lesson for Beginners
Students import two video clips, add a title, credits and add transitions, trim unnecessary footage, and adjust sound track volume if applicable.

Prepare for this assigment by having pre-shot video to use or have the students create their own. Students could video each other reading poems or giving presentations for this exercise. Students can also create videos without cameras for this lesson plan by creating a short screen capture video tutorial using Cam Studio or other video screen recorder tool. In this example screen capture videos from previous lessons on creating a Pivot tutorial is used.
Download two sample clips for video editing practice.
Finished Example:
Step One:
Import both of your pivot videos.

Drag the first video to the timeline.

Switch to the second video the drag it to the timeline.

Step Two:
Add your title.

Add "title at the beginning" of the movie.

Type the title, choose an animation, change text font and color, Done add title to movie.

Step Three:
Add transitions between the title and first clip, and between clip one and two.

Step Four:
Add "credits at the end" of the movie.

Step Five:
Save to my computer, give your movie file a name, save to "my videos" folder and click Next.

Choose "Best quality for playback on my computer". Click Next.

DONE!
Just as soon as the movie finishes being made. Might take a while. Have a little stretch.
