How to Make Video Tutorials with a Screen Recorder Pt. 2

In this assignment students use a free video screen recorder to make a video tutorial.

<< Part 1

Student's record the computer screen while demonstrating how to use Pivot Stick Figure Animator using the free video screen capture program "Cam Studio". This is the second video of a 2 part video project. The two videos created with these tutorials will be combined in a video editing activity.

Student's will use a microphone to narrate the video with instructions during the tutorial.

Step One:

Plugin a microphone, open Cam Studio and set the recording size to 800 X 600, and enable audio recording. Go to > Region > Fixed Region.

 

How to make a tutorial with video screen capture

 

Set the screen recording width to 800 and the height to 600.

Go to > Options > Record audio from microphone.

Step Two:

Record and narrate (explain how to use pivot) your video. Keep the video under 2 minutes. Click the record button to begin recording the screen.
