Students Create a Simple Expense Spreadsheet and Chart
Scenario:Students take a friend to the movies and buy two movie tickets as well as some food and drinks. Students select as many items as they can from the Mega Movies Menu and Price List without spending more than $55.00.
Assignment: Students create a spreadsheet using Google Sheets to show how much they have spent on movie expenses. Students use the SUM function to calculate the total expenses. Students create a nice chart illustrating their expenses.
Usage: Teachers download the files and make personal copies for themselves, then share the files with students as needed using Google Classroom or a Google Drive shared folder.
