Graphic Organizer - OREO Opinion Writing

Assignment: This is a graphic organizer for students to write an opinion text using the OREO acronym. Students state an opinion about a topic, provide a reason for their opinion, give an example supporting their opinion, and finally, restate their opinion. Students download the graphic organizer and open it in Microsoft Word or compatible word processor and enter their information.

Write opinion pieces in which they introduce the topic or book they are writing about, state an opinion, supply reasons that support the opinion, use linking words (e.g., because, and, also) to connect opinion and reasons, and provide a concluding statement or section. CCSS.ELA-Literacy.W.2.1
