Community Heroes Lesson Plan - PowerPoint

Assignment: Students create a 4 slide PowerPoint presentation indentifying and discussing different community heroes such as police, firefighters, lifeguards, coaches, teachers, librarians, nurses, volunteers etc. Students write short sentences on the slides about how these heroes help other people in their community. Students create their slides using titles, text boxes and images.

Students add clipart images of different family heroes in their life. Students add information telling who their family heroes are and tell what they do.

Slide 3 - Local Community Heroes

Students add clipart of local community heroes such as firefighters, police, doctors, teachers, lifeguards, librarians, nurses, etc. Students add information telling what these heroes do.
