Students Create a PowerPoint Presentation about Fossils
Students research information about fossils on the internet. Studens collect images about fossils. Students create a 3 slide PowerPoint presentation using their images and information. This research and presentation activity integrates technology into the Earth Sciences curriculum.

Extension: Save the slides as images and use them to create student narrated slideshows with MS Photostory or an online slide program.
Slide 1 Title Slide - What is a Fossil?
Students add a title: "What is a Fossil?" and add one picture of a fossil. Students add one or more sentences telling what a fossil is. Students add their name.
Slide 2 - "What is a Paleontologist?"
Students add a title: " What is a Paleontologist?" and add one picture of a paleontologist working at a dig. Students one or more sentences telling what a paleontologist is.
Slide 3 - "Where are Fossils Found"
Students add a title: "Where are Fossils Found?" and add related picture. Students add one or more sentences telling where fossils are found.
