Students Create a PowerPoint about Needs and Wants
Students identify the difference between needs and wants. Students locate several clipart image representing 3 or more different needs. Students locate several clipart images representing 3 or more different wants. Students add information explaining why they chose each of the different needs and wants items. Students create an interesting and informative PowerPoint presentation illustrating different needs and wants.
This lesson integrates technology into the History - Social Sciences curriculum ( economy studies).
Grade 3
Slide 1 - Needs and Wants
Students add a title "Needs and Wants". Students use clipart to insert two or more images of things that are needs or wants. Students add their name.
Slide 2 - Needs
Students add a title "Needs". Students use clipart to add three or more images of different things that are needs. Students add a definition of needs. Students explain why they have chosen each item as a need.

Students add a title "Wants". Students use clipart to add three or more images of different things that are wants. Students add definition of wants. Students explain why they have chosen each item as a want.
