Mastery Series Lesson 6 - I Like School for 4 Reasons
This technology lesson plan is part of a mastery series of writing and word processing lessons for first graders. Students practice writing the introduction, details, and closing sentence to construct their informative paragraph. Students write using correct capitalization and punctuation. Students also search for appropriate clipart, and then insert and size their clipart. Students increase the font size and print and / or save their work.
Students will use the "Shift", "Enter", and the "Spacebar" keys to write their text.
Model and explain each step to students. Be prepared to provide extra assistance and repetition. Work towards developing increased proficency and mastery throughout the entire series of lessons. Depending upon student's typing speed and word processing skills expect this lesson to require 30 minutes or more of actual student work time.
